  8. Aida, a role she often sang, Leontyne Price hoped to get young
  9. people "reading and understanding the classics." Illustrated
  10. by Leo and Diane Dillon, her story of the captive Ethiopian
  11. princess was published last week and, says the diva, in many
  12. ways is "a love letter to myself." Each time she rereads it,
  13. she feels "as if I'm back in the opera house performing."
  14. Price's literary career will have a second act. Her
  15. autobiography, she promises, will tell all.
